Feh

The human body is an amazing machine, no?

No. It's fragile and fickle. I got a nice ride in today and I'm embarrased to discuss the numbers. Heart rate, way down. Cadence, a joke. I need to join a gym and keep the level of fitness I had this past summer and fall up year round. There's no excuse.

Regardless, it feels good to get on the bike and suffer. It just feels better when you start to suffer at a higher baseline. Tomorrow looks decent. I'll ride some more and start the the climb back to optimal fitness again. The beach is calling.

The other blog is doing well and I'm having fun writing for it. Go there and leave a comment.

I feel your pain. Or rather, felt :>. Being a fair weather athlete, I felt like you did when I'd start running in spring after a decent winter break. Now, I've been doing yoga for about six months, once a week directly after work, and it worked like magic especially on the back muscles and my overall coordination/balance.

I used to come back panting and aching after 30 minutes on the first run, with an all-over muscle ache the next day. This time, 45 minutes, going faster than I used to, no panting, just feeling my knees a little, and no pain the next day.

That, and I can stand on my head now. Gotta be good for something.
