If it’s one thing the fortnite account generator understands : Fortnite accounts cannot be merged as of May 6, 2019. Epic Games has confirmed that the Fortnite account merging feature was closed. No new requests can be submitted. Fortnite account merging was not intended to solve cross-platform compatibility issues between Epic Games accounts linked to PS4 or another Epic Games account associated to Xbox One, Switch.
All players now have the ability to create one Epic Games account. This Epic Games account can be linked to PC or PS4, Xbox One, Switch and mobile. It allows access to all progress and items across all platforms. Fortnite account merging has been possible for some while. This is why this feature is now disabled. If you have accounts that you did not merge before May 6, you will be unable to use them as your main account. This feature is unlikely to return, but we will update this guide accordingly.
There are some technicalities that you need to know before you begin the process. The biggest thing is that Fortnite players still struggling with cross-platform issues will not be able to use the merging tool. One account you wish to merge must have been on PS4 prior to September 28, 2018, when cross-platform Fortnite matches were finally enabled. The other must have played on Switch, Xbox One or Xbox One prior to that date. Two accounts cannot be combined on the same platform. You cannot ban or disable any accounts you are trying to merge.
You can merge two accounts at once: choose the primary account that you wish to continue using and the secondary account where you want to transfer all your stuff. To copy authentication codes, you will need to have access to each email address. After you confirm, your secondary account’s PSN/Nintendo/Xbox Live logins will immediately be transferred to your primary account.
Are you unable to see all of your belongings? Don’t panic! It will take two weeks for V-Bucks or cosmetic items that you have on your secondary account to show up on your primary account. You will need to wait for the V-Bucks and cosmetic items from your secondary account to appear on your primary account.
There are some details that may not be obvious: Not all items will make it to the top. The most important things you will need to transfer to your secondary account are the Creative Mode Islands that you have created and any Save The World level progress (individual items such as Llamas or Heroes). You may want to make that secondary account your primary if you are really into Save the World or Creative Mode. You’ll be able to keep your Fortnite Battle Royale stuff safe.
